Therme Wien – Sauna: Access & wellness

The sauna is a distinct area within Therme Wien; its rule does not describe the entire venue.

Facilities

The sauna area combines Finnish saunas such as Gartenblick, Laubensauna and Kellergasse with Bambussauna, a bio sauna. It also lists the steam baths Morgentau, Blütenbad and Kräuterbad, plus the Nachtwärme laconium.

Access

Therme Wien as a whole is not adults-only; the sauna has its own age guidance.

Exceptions and notes

Operator pages give different sauna ages, 14 and 15. The bathing rules say children under 14 may enter only with supervision.

Before your trip

  • • Because the published ages differ, confirm the current sauna threshold directly with the operator before visiting.
  • • Choose the specific area you want to visit and check that your ticket covers access to it. Before travelling, confirm current opening hours, admission conditions, and towel and textile rules directly with the operator. If a reservation is required, book with the provider and confirm what it covers. Prices and availability can change and are not promised here. For a linked hotel, check separately whether spa or thermal-bath admission is actually included in your booking.

Experiences are not necessarily child-free. The minimum age applies to each hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I check before visiting?

Because the published ages differ, confirm the current sauna threshold directly with the operator before visiting.

Is admission included with a hotel stay?

Not automatically. A hotel stay and admission to this facility are separate services unless the operator explicitly lists them together in the specific rate. Check the rate details and confirm directly with the operator what is covered before booking.
