How we rate
The Adults Oasis Score sums up every property in a single number – calculated from around 30 concrete features, using the same formula for every hotel. The scale runs from 7.5 to 10, because every property in the directory has already passed our admission check. Here is exactly what goes into it.
Data-driven
We rate objective features – amenities, location, hotel category. No gut feeling, no paid placement.
Designed for couples
We weight what matters for a child-free holiday for two: peace and wellness above all else. A generic star rating doesn't capture that.
Independent & transparent
The formula is disclosed and the same for every property. It is an editorial assessment by Adults Oasis – not purchased or faked guest reviews.
Five categories that matter for an adults-only holiday
Each category score shows where a property stands in that category compared with every other property in the directory. The overall score is their weighted average – peace and wellness count most, because they are the heart of an adults-only stay.
Tranquillity & Privacy
Weighting 25%- ✓Strict Adults-Only policy (no family or children operations)
- ✓Minimum age (16 or 18 years)
- ✓Quiet location away from the big cities
- ✓Private retreats: in-room whirlpool, balcony or terrace, fireplace

Weighting 15%- ✓Hotel category (stars)
- ✓Verified status of the property
- ✓Service-oriented amenities (parking, Wi-Fi, EV charging station)
Scale & calculation
- ✓Scale from 7.5 to 10, to one decimal place – so even fine differences stay visible. The lower half of a zero-to-ten scale would sit empty: properties that fail our admission check never enter the directory in the first place.
- ✓Overall score = weighted average: Peace & privacy and Wellness & spa 25 % each, Romance 20 %, Cuisine and Service 15 % each.
- ✓Basic requirement for inclusion: a property must be genuinely Adults-Only / child-free. This requirement cannot be bought.
